Fellowship

We are a fellowship of worshippers when we join together for Sunday services. However, our fellowship is enhanced in many ways by all the group activities, by coffee in the lounge on Sunday mornings and by Oasis Group meetings.

OASIS GROUPS

Contact: Margaret Goodman, Pastoral Secretary

There are nominally ten Oasis groups but in most cases groups have paired together to meet. The exact nature of each meeting depends on the participants but in each case there is Bible study and discussion, prayer and close personal fellowship with other Christians, usually preceded or followed by refreshments.

Oasis 1 Several house groups, usually numbering six to ten people, form an integral part of the church. They afford time for sharing and caring, for prayer and for the study of the bible and of Christian themes. The groups offer means of deepening our fellowship and reaching out to a wider community. A warm welcome is offered to all who seek friendship and support and have a desire to explore and understand the Christian faith.

The leadership and hosting of the house groups is subject to change. Currently most groups meet fortnightly mostly in the evening. However one group meets fortnightly on Thursday afternoon at 2pm.

Oasis 2

There are occasional meetings of all groups which take place in church, usually on the fifth Monday of the month when this occurs.

It is our aim that everyone who attends our church should have a pastoral visitor and be a member of an oasis group for pastoral care and fellowship. If you are not so served please contact Margaret.
